Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Who doesn't love chocolate dipped strawberries? It is one of my all time favorite desserts ! Make these for your special Valentine !

Start with farm-fresh juicy red strawberries. Melt Belgian or Swiss Chocolate - I use Toblerone or Lindt - the Milk chocolate kind - in a double boiler or even on a low power in your microwave. Dip each berry in a generous coating of the chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. Cool for 2 hours.

Place the strawberries on a beautiful platter and serve with a scoop of your favorite ice-cream.

Recently I bought a Chocolate Fountain and we had a fabulous event with an array of fresh fruit, pretzels, cookies and day old sourdough bread pieces. I bought some fabulous Belgian chocolate from Harry and Davidís and the party could not be more successful. It was easy and fun. A great after hourís dessert party. Serve your favorite wines, sparklers and dessert wines with it.
