A "cookie" is data created by a web server that is saved on your hard drive and accessed by your internet browser.  Cookies help you save time by storing user information and allow you to customize web pages by storing personal preferences, such as page layouts, web content, or stock symbols.

You may not wish to share information with websites, and we have posted instructions for disabling browser cookies on your hard drive. Disabling cookies is a complicated task and is not recommended for novice PC users. Disabling Cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer

1. From the View menu, select Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Scroll to the Securities/Cookies section and choose Disable All Cookie Use option.
4. Click Apply, then click OK.

Disabling Cookies in Netscape Navigator

1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. Click on the Advanced directory.
3. In the Cookies section, choose the Disable All Cookies option.
4. Click OK.
